Our volunteers make things happen and include people from the community and all walks of life. Volunteers help carry out Gaylord’s mission to bring quality rehabilitation to our patients. There are many ways to volunteer.
Gaylord volunteers assist with many patient activities including:
- Visiting patients
- Transporting patients to therapies
- Helping with recreational events
- Providing interpreting services
Volunteers also provide much needed assistance to hospital staff including:
- Word processing
- Reception
- Office staffing
The Gaylord Hospital Auxiliary
The Auxiliary is a unique volunteer corps of individuals who are committed to Gaylord's success. The Auxiliary manages the hospital gift shop. Its revenues help support Gaylord's services. The Auxiliary also sponsors many activities such as:
- The Women with Disabilities Conference
- The Barbara Chase Lane Scholarship
- Spring and Fall Luncheon programs
