RESPIRATORY THERAPY

Respiratory Care Practitioner

Administers respiratory therapy care and life support to patients by prescription and under the supervision of a physician and the manager of Respiratory Care department.

Qualifications: Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination. Requires current CRT and RRT certificates from the State of Connecticut, current CPR certificate, and the ability to draw and analyze ABG's. Computer experience preferred.

Intake Representative - Sleep Services-North Haven

Performs pre-registration, scheduling and registration functions for outpatients.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or three to six months of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination. Requires a minimum of 2 years experience in a health care setting, medical office, or insurance environment. Requires familiarity working with physicians and physician offices, basic medical terminology and computer skills, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to travel to other sites as needed.

Polysomnographic Technologist

Provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, which may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, or patient care and education.

Qualifications: Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination, certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent. Requires certification in CPR and basic first aid and proficiency in Windows based software programs. Must have demonstrated ability to respond to unanticipated problems with equipment and patients, and to facilitate patient-orientated services.

07-126 36 hours/week (7 pm-7 am with weekend rotation)

Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist the COTA will carry out programs utilizing the specific treatment, supporting the progress of the patient. COTA will support and participate in the department Quality Assurance.

Qualifications: High school diploma plus an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field or its equivalent and Connecticut state license. Requires good working knowledge of technical Occupational Therapy techniques, good organizational skills and the ability to think creatively. Experience preferred.

Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure with a temporary permit) in the State of Connecticut. Requires a working knowledge of the principles and techniques of physical science confined to patient treatment and care as it relates to patient physical therapy. Experience preferred.
