Regional Healthcare Manager
Performs on-site evaluations of prospective Gaylord Hospital patients. Communicates with health care organizations, family members and insurance companies regarding admissions process. Utilizes marketing skills to introduce service to and develop a network of referral sources.
Qualifications: RN, BSN, and/or CRRN preferred; fifth year college or university program certificate or two to four years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience and four or more years of experience in the health care field, including two years in rehabilitation or insurance case management. Requires working knowledge of medical criteria used for admission, excellent communication and clinical assessment skills, and knowledge of reimbursement issues impacting inpatient rehabilitation. Valid driver's license is also necessary.

Clinical Admissions Rep
Coordinates all aspects, focusing on clinical issues, of inquiries and referrals from referral sources and conducts necessary clinical follow up to ensure timely and clinically/financially appropriate inpatient admissions.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (BA) from four year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five or more years experience in the rehabilitation field. RN, BSN preferred.
Hours: 40 hours (9-9:30 a. m.-5:30 -6:00 p.m. – Some Sat. a.m. required)
Regional Healthcare Manager
Responsible for developing a network of referral sources, performing on-site evaluations of prospective Gaylord Hospital patients, facilitating the admissions process and communicating Gaylord’s value proposition with healthcare organizations, referring healthcare practitioners, family members and insurance companies. Meets referral and admissions goals.
Qualifications: Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Four or more years of experience in the healthcare field, including two years in rehabilitation or insurance case management. RN, BSN and and advanced degree or certifications preferred. Valid driver’s license.

Unit Secretary

RESPIRATORY THERAPY
Respiratory Care Practitioners
Administers respiratory therapy care and life support to patients by prescription and under the supervision of a physician and the manager of Respiratory Care. Requires current CRT and RRT certificates from the State of CT, current CPR certificate and the ability to draw and analyze ABG's.

INPATIENT THERAPY SERVICES
Speech Therapist
Provides diagnostic and treatment services to individuals with speech, language and cognitive disorders referred to the department. Requires a Masters in Speech-Language Pathology, Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA, and CT license in Speech Pathology.

Occupational Therapist
Provides optimal patient care according to recognized standards of occupational therapy, utilizes a comprehensive evaluation to assess patient needs, devises an appropriate treatment plan and progresses the patient toward established functional goals. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of CT. Neuro/Ortho skills and return to work/work hardening background desirable.

Rehab Therapy Aide
Assists therapists and assistants with implementation of treatment programs under direct supervision and provides levels of support services as needed for the operations of the department. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination. Previous health care experience preferred. OUTPATIENT THERAPY SERVICES
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L)
Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, the COTA will carry out programs utilizing the specific treatment, supporting the progress of the patient. COTA will support and participate in the department Quality Assurance. Qualifications: High school diploma plus and Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field or its equivalent and Connecticut state license. Requires good working knowledge of technical Occuaptional Therapy techniques, good organizational skills and teh ability to think creatively. Experience preferred. Req.#: 10-132. Intake Representative _North Haven
Performs pre-registration, scheduling and registration functions for outpatients.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or three to six months of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination. Requires a minimum of 2 years experience in a health care setting, medical office, or insurance environment. Knowledge of all types of insurance benefit plans including, but not limited to, Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross, Worker's Compensation, and Managed Care, familiarity with basic medical terminology and CPT4 and ICD-9 coding a plus. Physical Therapist (Outpatient)-North Haven
Provides optimal patient care according to recognized standards of physical therapy. Utilizes a comprehensive evaluation to assess patient’s needs, devise an appropriate treatment plan and progress the patient toward established functional goals. Qualifications: A Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from a college or university approved by the Committee on Medical Education of the American Physical Therapy Association. Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure with a temporary permit) in the State of Connecticut. Requires a working knowledge of the principles and techniques of physical science confined to patient treatment and care as it relates to patient physical therapy, including Neuro/Ortho and amputees.
