Dance Injury Prevention Screening
Injuries are common among dancers due to repetitive stress and the athletic demand placed on the body. Preventing injury is critical to keeping a dancer healthy and active. The screening exam consists of a review of the dancer’s complaints including a gross musculoskeletal scan with general fitness testing.
At the conclusion of the prevention screening, the dancer will be given an individualized injury prevention exercise regime with recommendations for technique modification, training strategies, and proper footwear. If a dancer has already sustained an injury, our physical therapists offer dance specific therapy and rehabilitation for dancers of all ages.
