Our Ekso Program and Step Up! Scholarships

When Gaylord acquired the Ekso bionic exoskeleton in the fall of 2012, we immediately began training our therapy staff in its use with spinal cord injury patients. Using the Ekso has been an exhilarating experience for our patients and therapists. But we would like to make Ekso therapy available to even more SCI patients and expand its use to individuals with other issues that cause lower extremity weakness or paralysis, such as those with multiple sclerosis. For this to occur we must meet two important goals: funding for equipment and training and offering patient scholarships.
Goal #1: To raise $50,000 for the Ekso Program which will go toward purchasing additional equipment and training staff.
Goal #2: To raise $50,000 for Step Up! Scholarships for individuals who are unable to pay for Ekso therapy or whose insurance does not cover it.
Please consider donating to one or both of our Ekso goals. If you are moved by how the Ekso can help patients or are intrigued by this new technology and want to see it help change the lives of patients use the button below to make your secure donation.
IMPORTANT: In the “Tribute Occasion” box on the donation form please put “STEP UP” if your gift is for scholarships or “EKSO” if your gift is for Ekso equipment and training.
