The Milne Pavilion is specifically designed to meet the needs of a growing patient population that requires specialized health care. It features 36 private rooms that are equipped to enhance the care, treatment and safety of our patients. Four of the rooms are designed as critical care rooms – allowing Gaylord Hospital to manage the care of medically complex patients.
Medically complex patients include those patients who are traditionally cared for in intensive care units of acute care hospitals. Studies show that the sooner patients can be transferred to long-term acute care, the better the medical outcomes.
All of the 36 rooms in the Milne Pavilion are private—a feature that is hailed by the Joint Commission as a prerequisite in reducing the rate of hospital acquired infections among patients.
The nurses’ units are highly visible and easily accessible to patients and visitors. Each spacious patient room features guest chairs that can double as twin-sized beds for family members who may wish to stay overnight. All rooms offer views of the hospital’s beautiful gardens or courtyards.
