Sports Association programs are fully funded through individual donors, corporate sponsors, grants and fundraising events. Without the generous support from our donors and the efforts of the fundraising committees, our programs would not be possible! Every donation, small or large helps to support our mission to improve the lives of persons with physical disabilities through adaptive sports and recreation.

Golf Classic
The Annual Gaylord Golf Classic is an 18-hole, scramble format tournament held at Great River Golf Club in Milford, CT. The Golf Classic brings together business professionals and community supporters to raise funds for the Gaylord Sports Association, the state’s most diverse adaptive sports program for individuals with physical disabilities or visual impairments.
Gauntlet 5k Obstacle & Trail Run
The Gaylord Gauntlet is a 5K obstacle and trail run held entirely on our Wallingford campus. The event welcomes close to 1000 runners, including adaptive athletes, who all challenge themselves to conquer 24 natural and man-made obstacles featuring water, mud, fire and more. Each year, the Gaylord Sports Association selects a featured athlete who completes the race with the support of the Gaylord Sports Association Gauntlet Team. This event is one of our largest fundraisers and all proceeds support the Gaylord Sports Association adaptive sports programs. It is a celebration of our Think Possible mindset that we embody each and every day.
