Cardiac Care

Our Approach to Care

Cardiac Care at Gaylord provides a bridge for patients who no longer require ICU-level care or who are being discharged from an acute care hospital but still require daily medical management and specialized care. Our patients are cared for by our specialty trained nursing team who are ACLS certified (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and highly trained to care for cardiac patients. Our staff also has specialized training to care for patients requiring the use of Left Ventricular Assistive devices (LVAD), and –we work closely with consulting cardiologists and referring physicians to ensure the care received is well coordinated. The Milne Pavilion, which houses our cardiac program, has private rooms with bedside and ambulatory telemetry monitoring, observation rooms, an onsite laboratory, a pharmacy, a CT scan and radiology services.
