Bysiewicz, 60, of Branford had directed a 5K road race that morning, one of the many on his JB Sports road race calendar, in Cheshire. A competitive triathlete, he biked a lot and the route he took along Route 146 from Branford to Guilford was one of his regular ones.

With his handler Amanda McQuaid, a recreation therapist at Gaylord, Nash has been on a mission to spread more joy to patients in December.

Hartford Business Journal

Radovich is a former Gaylord patient who has logged more than 1,000 volunteer hours as an acquired brain injury peer mentor, providing support and acting as a resource for Gaylord’s stroke and brain-injured inpatients. He is also an adaptive golf coach with Gaylord’s Sports Association and an assistant in Gaylord’s library.
