WALLINGFORD, CT, July 16, 2020 - Gaylord Specialty Healthcare, a rehabilitation-focused nonprofit healthcare organization, named June Napolitano, BSN, RN of Meriden, CT, as the Joseph A. Lindenmayer 2020 Employee of the Year. 

WALLINGFORD, CONNECTICUT, July 15, 2020 – Gaylord Specialty Healthcare, a rehabilitation-focused nonprofit healthcare system, is pleased to announce that the Rea Charitable Trust has provided a $25,000 donation in support of its music therapy program.   The grant marks the third consecutive year that the Rea Charitable Trust, which is committed to the promotion of the arts, has supported the Gaylord program. The generous donation will fund high-quality bedside and group music therapy sessions for Gaylord inpatients and outpatients recovering from life-altering neurological injuries and illnesses.

WALLINGFORD, CONNECTICUT, July 16, 2020 – Gaylord Specialty Healthcare, a rehabilitation-focused nonprofit healthcare system, recently received a $5,000 donation from the NewAlliance Foundation to fund the purchase of medical training manikins. Gaylord Nurse Educator Caitlin Handley, RN, said that the generous donation will be used to purchase an airway management manikin and a catheterization manikin for the continuous training of staff.

WALLINGFORD, CONNECTICUT, June 9, 2020 – Gaylord Specialty Healthcare received a $2,500 donation from the Walmart Community Grants Program in support of Gaylord Sports Association’s adaptive sports programming. Facilitated by Wallingford Walmart Store Manager Jon Roth and Training Coordinator Evelyn Smiles, the donation made through the Gaylord Gauntlet fundraiser will be used to purchase adaptive sporting equipment and offer programming at little or no cost to participants with permanent physical or visual impairments.
