Cardiac Care for Many Needs
Cardiac care at Gaylord is a bridge for patients who no longer require ICU-level care or who are being discharged from an acute care hospital but still require daily medical management and specialized care. Patients are cared for by a nursing team with ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) training and providers with training for patients requiring the use of Ventricular Assistive Devices (VAD). We also care for patients who require active management of intravenous fluids, antibiotics, steroids, or diuretics, as well as those who require complex dressing changes.
All our work is coordinated with consulting cardiologists and referring physicians. Our cardiac patients benefit from private rooms with bedside and ambulatory telemetry monitoring, observation rooms, an onsite laboratory, a pharmacy, a CT scan and radiology services.
