Dysphagia is another term for problems with swallowing and can occur with many neuromuscular or neurological diseases or conditions such as MS, Parkinson's, ALS, stroke, brain injury, Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM), and so forth.

Outpatient Dysphasia Therapy

Dysphagia can be the result of a stroke or other conditions that affect the brain or central nervous system. Dysphagia can cause problems with eating, drinking, swallowing, and choking. In outpatient therapy, our speech and language therapists focus on restoring the swallow function using technology and a range of treatments.
