Discover how Gaylord's setting provides a restorative, healing environment for our patients and their families. For details and videos about specific programs see the individual program pages.

In each area of medical rehabilitation, you’ll find we offer a range of inpatient and outpatient programs. We present options for patients that address specific conditions and provide a path to recovery – physically, psychologically, emotionally, and socially. Pulmonary conditions treated include but are not limited to pneumonia, pulmonary insufficency, COPD, emphysema, ventilator dependence/weaning, and lung transplant recovery.

Inpatient Pulmonary Program

We accept pulmonary patients from acute care settings who need ongoing medical, nursing, and respiratory care. We help patients deal with weaning from a ventilator, lung transplant recovery, restrictive lung disease, COPD, tracheostomy, serious pneumonia, and pulmonary insufficiency. Our approach to care is personal, precise, and focused on building the skills and functions required to live life as fully as possible.

Outpatient Pulmonary Program

We help pulmonary outpatients who have COPD, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, pulmonary fibrosis, asthma, lung cancer, pre and post-lung surgery recovery, and other conditions. In each case, the outpatient pulmonary team meets twice weekly with patients to develop a personalized exercise and education plan working toward goals and outcomes.
