A Place Where Miracles Happen

Giving to Gaylord

A gift to Gaylord Specialty Healthcare is a statement about your belief in what’s possible when people, research, and technology join together behind a common purpose. For more than 115 years, Gaylord has been in the business of giving people their lives back. Your support enables Gaylord to deliver the highest quality of patient care and, ultimately, bring loved ones home. Gifts to Gaylord make our mission real and put new possibilities within reach.

What Your Gift Makes Possible

Every dollar donated drives transformative progress at Gaylord. Private philanthropy allows us to further our mission of innovation and excellence and continually implement new therapies and care. You can join Gaylord’s mission by supporting one of the following areas of critical need:

Immediate Needs

Unrestricted gifts are vitally important and give our board of directors and hospital administration the ability to respond to immediate needs.

Patient & Family Experience

Our patient & family experience is critical to patient engagement in their own care, yielding maximum rehabilitation outcomes.

Sports Association

The most diverse adaptive sports program in the state, dedicated to helping people with a physical disability experience the benefits of adaptive sports and recreation.

Technology

Specialized Technologies Assisting Rehabilitation Today (START) puts advanced equipment where it’s needed most; in the hands of our staff and patients.

Why I Give

Every donor has a personal narrative - a journey that brought them here and moved them to make a commitment to Gaylord.

The Milne Institute for Healthcare Innovation is named for Carol and George Milne, Jr., Ph.D., whose historic $5 million gift has created a hub for accelerating world-class research, technology development and innovation on Gaylord’s Wallingford campus.
“The national need for a resource that can effect profound outcomes for people of all ages is extraordinary. Not only will we have the ability to perform transformational research on cutting-edge technologies, but also research some of the more modest things that, in the end, can have an enormous impact on helping patients thrive.”  George Milne, Jr., PhD.
