Cheshire Resident Peter Grevelding Appointed Executive Director, Gaylord Specialty Healthcare’s Milne Institute for Healthcare Innovation - Gaylord

WALLINGFORD, CONNECTICUT, November 5, 2020 — Gaylord Specialty Healthcare Vice President of Clinical Operations Peter Grevelding, PT, MSPT, NCS, was appointed Executive Director of the recently launched Milne Institute for Healthcare Innovation.

Located within Gaylord’s Wallingford headquarters, the Milne Institute for Healthcare Innovation aims to leverage non-profit rehabilitation-based healthcare system’s expertise in brain and spinal cord injuries, complex strokes, amputations and pulmonary diseases to conduct research and develop evidence-based practices and applied technologies with the potential to change lives around the world.
 

Sonja LaBarbera, President and CEO of Gaylord Specialty Healthcare, said, “We are incredibly fortunate to have Pete leading the Milne Institute. Since joining Gaylord as a physical therapist 16 years ago, Pete has taken on many new roles and responsibilities, bringing tremendous value and expertise to each position he has held.” 

 

A Gaylord employee since 2004, the Cheshire resident is responsible for the oversight of Gaylord Specialty Healthcare’s clinical areas, including leadership of the Admissions, Inpatient and Outpatient Therapy, Respiratory and Care Management departments. Grevelding has spearheaded the growth of Gaylord’s existing research program as an opportunity to share Gaylord’s experience and expertise.
