WALLINGFORD, CONNECTICUT, September 16, 2026 — Connecticut businesses have an opportunity to support patients receiving specialized rehabilitation care at Gaylord Specialty Healthcare while taking advantage of the state’s Neighborhood Assistance Act (NAA) Tax Credit Program.

Through the program, eligible Connecticut businesses can receive a state tax credit for qualifying cash contributions to Gaylord. Applications for the 2026 program must be submitted electronically to the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services (DRS) between September 15 and October 1, 2026.

Gaylord Specialty Healthcare is an independent nonprofit health system that provides rehabilitation and medical care to patients at every point in their journey from illness or injury to maximum recovery. Headquartered in Wallingford, Connecticut, with outpatient sites in Cheshire, Cromwell, Fairfield, Guilford, Madison, North Haven and Wallingford, Gaylord is widely recognized for its expertise in treating patients recovering from spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, strokes, amputations or sports-related injuries, among other complex conditions.

Under the NAA program, a business may make a cash contribution of $250 to $150,000 to a qualifying program. Contributions to Gaylord patient programs and services are eligible for a 60% tax credit, while qualifying gifts to Gaylord for energy conservation projects are eligible for a 100% tax credit.

“Connecticut businesses have a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference for patients and families while taking advantage of a state tax credit,” said Roslyn Gilhuly, Executive Director of The Gaylord Foundation and Associate Vice President of Development. “Support from our business community helps Gaylord provide the specialized care, programs, and services our patients need throughout their recovery.”

Businesses interested in making a qualifying contribution to Gaylord may contact Gaylord’s Development Office at (203) 284-2881 or gaylorddevelopment@gaylord.org to discuss the program and available giving opportunities.
