WALLINGFORD, CONNECTICUT, December 4, 2025 – Gaylord Specialty Healthcare has received a grant from the Town Fair Tire Foundation Fund to support the purchase of rehabilitation equipment and the renovation of the hospital’s inpatient therapy gym. This is the second consecutive year of support from the East Haven–based foundation to advance Gaylord’s mission of helping individuals enhance health, maximize function, and transform lives.
The grant fully funds several essential pieces of equipment and technology used across Gaylord Hospital’s inpatient programs, including a power rehab tilt table, new harnesses to support the hospital’s ZeroG® Gait and Balance System, and electrical stimulation units. Funds will also support Gaylord Hospital’s upcoming inpatient gym renovation.
These tools allow patients recovering stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, and other medically complex conditions to safely begin early rehabilitation activity to improve strength, balance, standing and walking.
