WALLINGFORD, CONNECTICUT, July 28, 2026 - Gaylord Specialty Healthcare has received a $5,000 grant from NewAlliance Foundation to support its Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Academy, helping prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals through enhanced hands-on clinical training.
The grant will help fund Gaylord's CNA Academy, providing students with the instruction and practical experience needed to develop the clinical skills, confidence, and professionalism required to succeed as certified nursing assistants.
As healthcare organizations continue to face workforce shortages, Gaylord's CNA Academy serves as an important pathway into the profession by preparing compassionate, highly skilled caregivers to meet the growing needs of patients across Connecticut.
"We are incredibly grateful to NewAlliance Foundation for investing in the future of healthcare," said Kristen Berg, CNA Program Coordinator.
"This grant helps ensure our students receive the hands-on instruction and mentorship that are critical to becoming excellent nursing assistants. By supporting workforce development today, NewAlliance Foundation is helping strengthen patient care for years to come."
Gaylord's state-approved CNA Academy provides comprehensive classroom instruction and supervised clinical experience designed to prepare students for Connecticut's Certified Nursing Assistant certification exam.
