In each area of medical rehabilitation, you’ll find we offer a range of inpatient and outpatient programs. We present options for patients that address specific conditions and provide a path to recovery.
To date Gaylord has helped more than 100 patients with COVID-19, officially known as SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2), to recover and rehabilitate from the disease. Inpatients with COVID-19 come to us after initially receiving care in an acute care hospital. Our Vent Weaning Program is very successful with weaning patients off a ventilator and our Complex Medical Care and Pulmonary Program are often the first level of care when patients with COVID-19 first arrive at Gaylord.
After recovery, Outpatient Services offers a number of programs including the COVID-19 Recovery and Rehab Program, which helps those COVID-19 patients who are "long-haulers," individuals who continue to experience long-term effects of the coronavirus.
