MADISON, CONNECTICUT, March 1, 2022 Gaylord Physical Therapy is pleased to announce the opening of its newest location at 28 Durham Road, Route 79, Madison.

The new 3,200-square-foot physical therapy clinic accepts self-referrals and offers early morning and evening appointments for the convenience of patients from Madison and surrounding towns. Appointments can be made by calling (203) 284-2929.

Gaylord Physical Therapy is part of Gaylord Specialty Healthcare – a rehabilitation-focused, nonprofit health system that provides inpatient and outpatient care for people at every point in their recovery from illness or injury to maximum recovery

Gaylord Physical Therapy is a preferred provider to many local sports medicine physicians and orthopedic surgeons and comes highly recommended by its current and former patients with more than 99 percent reporting being highly satisfied with their therapy services.

“Our physical therapy services can benefit individuals with any orthopedic condition ranging from strains and sprains, or patients who want to expedite their recovery and improve strength and range of motion following orthopedic or joint replacement surgery,” explained Gaylord Physical Therapy Supervisor, Andrew McIsaac, PT, DPT.

"Whether someone is a serious athlete sidelined by an injury or someone who wants to get back to an active lifestyle, Gaylord has the expertise and personalized care to build strength, mobility and quickly return them to the activities they love.”

The clinic will also specialize in providing treatment and relief for problems related to temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD), teeth grinding, jaw problems, headaches or face pain.

Gaylord Physical Therapy’s Golf Performance Program, conducted by a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) certified therapist, helps golfers improve their game with a 16-point physical examination to evaluate how the body can adversely affect the golf swing and lead to injury.

The Madison office is staffed by seasoned, doctoral-trained rehabilitation experts who understand how to help people attain their highest level of function through evidence-based techniques and personalized goal setting:

Andrew McIsaac, PT, DPT, is a Graston technique provider who is trained in functional dry needling, selective functional movement assessment and advanced manual therapy. He has received advanced training in the treatment of jaw and temporomandibular disorder. McIsaac is Titleist Performance Institute certified.

Corey Podbielski, PT, DPT, CSCS, OCS, is a board-certified orthopedic specialist and a strength and conditioning specialist. Podbielski is one of the few therapists in the area to be certified in the integrative dry needling technique for pain management therapy and has received advanced training in the treatment of jaw and temporomandibular disorder. He is Titleist Performance Institute certified and volunteers as head coach of the Gaylord Wolfpack Sled Hockey Team.

With an established 120-year-history of serving New Haven County, McIsaac said that Gaylord continually strives “to be a good neighbor in the communities we serve.” He noted that Gaylord Physical Therapy has partnered with both the Madison and Guilford Senior Centers and the Scranton Library to offer free educational community seminars and he looks forward to participating as an active member of the Madison Chamber of Commerce and future sponsor of the Madison Little League.
