The Register Citizen By Emily M. Olson Updated 11:31 am EDT, Monday, June 22, 2020 HARWINTON — It’s been a week since Linda Figlewski returned to her family home, after months in the hospital battling COVID-19. Her recovery from deathly complications from the virus, which claimed the life of her husband of 50 years, Henry Figlewski, has been slow and steady. She’s been home since June 12, after spending months at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital and Gaylord Hospital. Being home now is bittersweet. Fortunately, Linda Figlewski’s son, the Rev. Brett Figlewski, is with her every step of the way. They are celebrating her life while they mourn the loss of Henry; and both realize how fortunate Linda is to be alive.
