Gaylord Specialty Healthcare Announces $50,000 Grant from The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven

WALLINGFORD, CONNECTICUT, September 20, 2022 – Gaylord Specialty Healthcare, a nonprofit rehabilitation-focused healthcare system headquartered in Wallingford, announces that it has received a $50,000 grant from The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven - Anne Hope Bennett Fund and Ruth A. Meier Fund.

The grant funding supports Gaylord’s ongoing project to renovate and upgrade patient rooms, nursing areas and technology.

“We are grateful to the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven for their generosity,” said Roslyn Gilhuly, Gaylord Specialty Healthcare associate vice president, development operations and campaign initiatives.

“The grant supports our multi-year renovation project to support outstanding outcomes for patients from Greater New Haven and beyond. Our patients are at the center of all we do. Because our patients’ average length of stay is at least 26 days, ensuring that their time with us is as supportive, productive, safe and comfortable as possible is of utmost importance to the entire Gaylord team. This generous gift from the Community Foundation validates our mission to enhance health, maximize function and transform lives.”

The grant joins two other active grants from The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven that currently support programs for individuals with visual impairments and blindness.
