Gaylord Specialty Healthcare Earns CARF Accreditations for Commitment to Quality Care and Outcomes

WALLINGFORD, CONNECTICUT, October 27, 2020 – Gaylord Specialty Healthcare, a nonprofit rehabilitation-focused healthcare system based in Wallingford, Connecticut, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded its twelfth consecutive Three-Year-Term of Accreditation from CARF International for its inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs.

Gaylord is also the only entity in Connecticut – and is among just a few worldwide – to earn additional CARF accreditations for inpatient and outpatient spinal cord, stroke and brain injury specialty programs.

This decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organization and shows Gaylord’s substantial conformance to CARF International standards. To receive the Three-Year Accreditation, Gaylord has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable and of the highest quality.

In a letter to Gaylord Specialty Healthcare, Brian Boon, President and CEO of CARF International stated,
“Your organization should take pride in achieving this high level of accreditation. This achievement is an indication of your organization’s dedication and commitment to improving the quality of the lives of the persons served.”
