WALLINGFORD - For the fourth year, Gaylord Hospital Tuesday celebrated the holidays by providing mini Christmas trees and menorahs to patients.
The initiative was the idea of a former patient, whose family brought her a tree when she was unable to return home for the holiday.
"The tree brought her so much joy that she asked family and friends to purchase as many trees as possible for other patients spending their holidays at Gaylord," the hospital said in a press release.
Gaylord has since partnered with Amazon, which has donated trees.
