WTNH: Gaylord Sports Association celebrating 30th anniversary

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — The Gaylord Sports Association and Gaylord Specialty Health Care are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the program for adaptive athletes. 

What began as golf and archery programs as part of the therapeutic recreation program at Gaylord Hospital has grown to a program with 17 different sports, including competitive team activities. 

Katie Joly, the program manager at Gaylord Sports Association and adaptive athlete Joe Stone discuss how the program is able to help people recover from serious injuries.
