New Gaylord Specialty Healthcare Speech Therapy Clinic Opens in Guilford, Expanding Care for Shoreline Residents

WALLINGFORD, CONNECTICUT, January 28, 2026 – Gaylord Specialty Healthcare, a national and state leader in rehabilitation-focused healthcare, has opened a new clinic offering adult speech therapy services at 669 Boston Post Road in Guilford. 

With Gaylord Physical Therapy already serving patients in neighboring Madison, the new Guilford location further increases convenient access to specialized rehabilitation services along the shoreline.

Speech-language pathologist Tammy Spurgeon, MS, CCC/SLP, a 33-year Gaylord employee and three-time finalist for the Gaylord Employee of the Year Award, will lead the program.

Gaylord outpatient speech therapy helps adults improve communication, cognition, voice, and swallowing after a neurological change including:
